A Christmas Message from Hobday & Hicks at Warhost

A Christmas Message from Hobday & Hicks at Warhost

As 2025 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to say a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported Warhost (Hobday & Hicks) this year. Whether you’ve followed along quietly, offered encouragement, backed us creatively, or simply shared our enthusiasm for miniatures and our world-in-the-making, it has genuinely meant a great deal to both of us.

This year has very much been a slow burn. There was, as some of you will know, a bit of a false dawn early on with the website before we decided to regroup, refocus, and properly move things over to Warhost. While that reset took time and patience, it was absolutely the right call. Warhost.online now feels like the home this project always needed - a place where the miniatures, the ideas, and the wider story can grow together in a more considered and cohesive way.

Behind the scenes and also in front of them, we’ve been steadily working away on the Dwarven range, and we’re excited to say that this is shaping up very nicely. Our hope is to have the whole range ready to share with you early in the new year, and we can’t wait to finally make them available. Alongside this, we’re also planning to visit the Dead, giving this Kingdom the attention it deserves to match their entry in the supplement, and to continue expanding the lore, background and rules of the Warhost world. The setting is something we both care deeply about, and 2026 will see us investing more time in making it richer, deeper, and more rewarding to explore.

It may have taken longer than we originally hoped, but we firmly believe that good things take time and are always worth the wait. Warhost is very much a long-term labour of love, and your patience and support make it possible.

As we head into the festive season, we want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. We hope you’re able to spend time with loved ones, enjoy a bit of rest, and perhaps even sneak in some hobby time over the holidays.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. We’re truly looking forward to what the new year will bring.

Warmest wishes,
Paul & Andy
